What are some of your favorite traditions during the holidays?
I love to bake Christmas cookies!! I have such amazing memories as a child baking with my brothers. My mom was very patient with us in the kitchen especially when it came to sugar cookie cut-outs! The smell that filled our home was so wonderful during this season. Nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon were my favorite. I have carried on this tradition with my sons and even though they are all grown up they look forward to me baking their favorites. Taylor loves Peanut Butter Kiss cookies and JD likes Gingersnaps! My favorite is Coconut Orange Slice Cookies and my Sweet Lew likes his Grandma Miriam’s Sugar Cookies. We even have recipes from her in her handwriting which is so special.
Do you like to bake?
If so, what is your specialty? My dear, sweet friend Aaron Kessler could be a Pastry Chef! Last Christmas he made Pavlova for dessert for our Christmas party! It was so beautiful to look at which made it even harder to cut and serve. Not only did it look like Christmas, it tasted like Christmas too! Find the recipe here.
